Yummy, biscuits and gravy! Here is a quick and easy recipe for gravy that can be used to make biscuits and gravy, Elvis fries (shoestring fries smothered in sausage gravy and topped with cheese, Elvis’ favorite snack!) or what ever you want to smoother with this yummy creamy gravy.
Gather together the following ingredients:
1 Pound Bulk Sausage
¾ Cup Flour
3-4 Cups Milk
½ Stick Butter (Optional)
Salt
Pepper
Onion Powder (Optional)
Brown sausage, drain fat, remove. In the same pan, brown the flour then add the butter, if desired to make a roux let cool completely. After it has cooled, add milk, salt, pepper and onion powder. Bring to a slight boil stirring frequently. Reduce heat, let simmer until it has reached desired thickness stirring frequently. Add sausage and serve. Great over biscuits.
